Just wondering if anyone has used one or more than one of these models. Im really after the softest feeling of the bunch. I am leaning towards the 37's as I really like the way they look. My current GI irons are super soft to me with KBS and I dont want to sacrifice this soft feel in any way. Im maybe looking to get my ball flight a little lower, especially into the wind. I picked up an ex demo MP67 today, but Im not looking to get irons that new but for $10 I thought it was worth it to mess around with. I like the older irons more for some reason. Im probably going to reshaft it and adjust the swing weight and lie and see how it goes and hopefully find some of the other ones in used bins in golf shops in the coming weeks so I can make a comparison. So Im after other peoples feed back on these irons and the shafts they used. Cheers

Can't comment directly to the models you listed but why no love for the MP-30?!? I picked up a set a few weeks ago in great shape for a song and just love 'em! I always thought the whole Mizuno "feel" thing some users have is borderline cult like but I have to say after a few rounds and some time on the range I'm a convert. The only comment I can make is like any other iron whether it be a blade or SGI the shaft makes all the difference in the world. Find that and nirvana is sure to follow. Good luck in your search, it's a great feeling to find "it"!

I've only hit the MP-11s (for > 15 years off and on). I almost gave them away in favour of alternating between two sets of Clevelands (TA1s and TA3s). Long story short, after having the MP-11s adjusted (lengthened) the Clevelands haven't seen the course. If my wife knew how deeply I loved those irons we'd be in counselling.

Newby here so be gentle.

I played the 33's for about 5 years from when they came out until this year.  This year I bought a set of 68's and found them to be a whisper more forgiving.  I had a set of 32's for back up until last year and played them a wee bit off and on.  I also had a set of 14's when my handicap was higher and found them to be the most demanding of 4 that are mentioned.  The 14's simply felt a little more harsh to the feel.

I like the 68's followed by the 33's, then the 32's and then the 14's.  Any of those first three models are very forgiving for someone who is a reasonable golfer.  I would think someone with a handicap of 12-14  and of course lower could handle them.  None of those 3 were low launchers for me and I hit them all pretty high.  They are the best feeling clubs and do have that "butter" feeling when struck well that Mizuno is famous for.

They are wonderful to play, but they do get a lot of bag rash easily.  If you play with a cart go slow over any speed bumps.

I hit the 68's a while back at a range. I know you shouldnt judge feel off those mats and range balls, but my clubs felt ok but the 68's a little firmer. They also had DG S300 shafts, a shaft I dont use or like. I got a second MP67 from the same shop. Seems the first one I got was 1/4-1/2 inch longer. I have ordered a shaft like the one Im playing now and will pull the longer one out and replace it with the KBS. So far though, I cant say the ball flight is all that much different with the MP67 (S300) I used on the course. Its a nice feeling iron though, no doubt. Not quite the softness of the irons I have right now, but they are chalk and cheese with one being a blade and the other a cavity. Still hunting around for an older model. Most seem to be in the US but the cost of shipping is quite often more than the club itself. And when I have picked an ex demo which is virtually brand new with a few dings in it for $10, hardly seems worth it. Still, I'll keep looking local. Thanks for the input so far.

I play the 32's and while I love the looks of them and the results, my iron play has never been better since I got these clubs, after a dozen rounds I have yet to really feel the buttery goodness they are known for. I am scoring great with them but very disappointed in the feel. My old Mizuno T-Zoid Pro II's feel a lot better. Both with DG s300 shafts and Lamkin crossline grips. I get that soft flushed feel with them on well struck shots that I do not get with the 32's. The 32's are a bit more accurate tho which is why I have stuck with them. I plan to get the new 69's next year tho. Demoed them and just amazing irons to me.

Cheers mate..I have not tried the 32's. Bit surprised by your comments regarding the feel. The 67's which are virtually the 32's with minor weight adjustments, feel really nice, better than the 69 I tried. I thought so anyway. Feel is a bit subjective it seems. I see you live in Tulsa. I lived there for over 3 years. My wife is there at the moment. Her mom and brother live there. Hoping to get there during xmas..thanks for the feedback.

Met a guy that has an absolutely beat up set of mp29s. He swore to me he would never give them up. He`s played these for  15years or so. He smoothely shot a 73 looking like he wasn`t even trying hard. This spiked my interest and I managed to find a set that was basically "new" the origional grips were still decent. My thought process was to buy and if I couldn`t hit em ,I would sell for 500.00 or so. Well, I took them out and after two rounds, I now am ready to sell my MP53`s because these surgical blades far exceeded my expectations. Im all in on these clubs, and this shows that one doesn`t have to be a 3 or below to hit these. These babys fire straight at target, even when hit thin. Shaping around trees is a piece of cake. If there is a decent set of these available to you, do yourself a favor and try em. Talked to a Mizuno rep and he said theres always someone out there looking for some of these. Played wilson staffs, and macgregor blades in past not even close!!!

Isn't surgical steel a very hard stainless steel. I imagine a late 70s to early 80s Titleist iron would feel like that - hard as a rock.

MP-33s are considered by many to be the best-feeling irons that Mizuno has ever made.

My vote for softest would have to go to the MP-59s.  I demoed a set this past spring they are the softest irons Ive ever hit.  If I were going to blow $1000 on a new set of irons, those are what I would buy, no question.
