Couple of dumb "Cart Bag" questions

When people talk about "Cart" Bags, are they referring to the hand Carts you push/pull, or the motorized Carts you drive - or both?

I'm new to the game, mostly interested in walking (with perhaps fewer than 14 clubs), and was looking to get a lightweight Stand bag like the Callaway Hyper Lite - however, I know some courses require (motorized) Carts - would a bag like this bag be incompatible in any way??  What about a superlight "Sunday" bag?

Could be either - the point is that the bags are not lightweight, not designed to be carried.

Many people have lightweight bags and strap them on carts when they feel like it. Don't worry about that.

"Cart bags" are usually a little larger than a stand bag.  The are meant to be carried on the back of a golf cart, or strapped into a push/pull cart (I call them a buggy).

Stand bags have legs and are generally lighter. Most will fit on the back of a golf cart or a buggy just fine.  Because of the shape and/or design of the foot at the bottom of the bag that kicks the legs out, some might not fit in facing front-to-back.  One I use to have had to be put in sideways.  It also would try to kick the legs out when it was in my buggy.  And some stand bags have loops or straps to keep the legs from doing that.

Sunday bags will hold a full set of clubs, have very few pockets, no legs or base to sand the bag up (pull a club and lay it down) and weigh about 2 pounds.  VERY minimalist bags.

Additionally, a lot of the cart bags have the pockets and zippers situated so that the golfer can get to everything from one side.  Since one side always faces inward when strapped to a cart.
