So I've been playing golf off and on since high school 10 years ago.  I broke my leg and stopped playing for two years sold everything, then this winter I got the itch again.  I got a set of Titleist 735 cm's, Titleist 907D1 driver and 906F fairway woods.  I was at the golf store today and was hitting some different drivers.  My best current drive is around 270 and with the new driver I hit a few out at 285  (without a fitting) so I know I'm loosing distance and control.  I'm gonna go ahead and get a new driver fitted with the right shaft for me.  My real question is about my irons.  I'm a decent player, shot even over 9 holes today (best since I've came back), and I was hitting some different irons a lot further on the launch monitor than my current ones.  I'm a titleist guy and need a little more forgiveness so I was thinking the Ap1's or 2's.  I just don't know if it's worth it dropping a lot of money on new irons.  I'm happy with my 3 and 5 wood, I'm hitting my 3 wood out over 250 sometimes.  My current 7 iron I hit maybe 160 and I was trying a couple different ones and on the monitor it said 170 or 175.  As those number reliable?  What other irons should  I be looking at that may be cheaper than the AP's.

Try Callway pre owned, they have alot of high quality used clubs. The Razr line is really good and there is a club for everyperson. AP1 is great but i wouldnt say $999 great, but you are a titleist guy so you are in a different mindset. Ping G15, G20, i15, i20 are also really good.

Wrong, AP1s don't sell for $999. AP2s do because they are forged.

You can get AP1 710s for around $400. Stick with Titleist!
