So this is my first shot at selling something on the forum. I was going to list it on EBay, but figured I'd give Trappers first crack.

For sale is a black Garmin Approach S1 GPS golf watch. I recently purchased a Bushnell laser rangefinder and haven't used the watch since. This unit has been used for approximately 10 rounds and is in perfect working order. Also, I've never worn it as a watch during play (personal preference), just kept it clipped to my bag for easy access. Included is the watch itself and the charger. I've never sold anything online, but will setup a paypal account for the transaction if there's an interest.

Looks like these retail for $200 online....I'll cover shipping expense as well.

Here's the description from the Garmin site:

Approach S1 combines a high-sensitivity GPS receiver with a lightweight, flexible sport watch. It is ready to go right out of the box with thousands of preloaded courses covering the U.S. or Canada. You can measure individual shot distances and track how far you walk on the course. Approach S1 - or S1W, the white version - is golf’s first full-featured sports watch and golf GPS in one.

Approach S1 will have you dialed in like a pro by providing yardages to the front, back and middle of the green. The sunlight-viewable screen features large numbering for at-a-glance visibility. S1 also measures precise yardages for shots played from anywhere on the course. And for those who like to walk, there’s the S1 odometer to tell you how far you traveled — on the course or off.

Approach S1 is ready to go right out of the box with thousands of preloaded courses for the U.S. and Puerto Rico or Canada. Best of all - there is no need for subscriptions or additional setup — S1 is ready to tee off right out of the box.

Have the Canada version and need to travel to the U.S.? No problem, you can load U.S. courses for free online . Same thing with the U.S. version - you can switch to Canadian maps for free.

Fitted for course playability, S1 also functions as an everyday watch. There’s an alarm and rechargeable lithium ion battery, and S1 sets its time and time zone automatically.

    • We do not buy extended warranties. We will use one of our credit cards for the purchase that extends the warranty "x 2". Our thoughts are: a. if the item is a lemon, it will likely break right away and we can attempt to apply the original warranty or credit card extension. b. over the long haul, we will probably save more money by not purchasing the extended warranty and fixing/junking broken items out of our own pocket. The important thing is to keep some records of purchases so one may make a claim under the manufacturer's warranty. I recently sent back some Footjoy shoes for leaking and Footjoy did a reat job of making the claim process work very well. I had the original receipt, warrant info and box. Easy peasy.
