Anyone here play last years Speedline F11 or F11 Ti fairway woods? I am in the market for some new fairway woods. I went to Dick's SG last week and hit the RBZ 3 woods and Adams Speedline 11 3 wood in the simulator, I have to say that the Adams felt pretty good compared to the RBZ. So I demoed the RBZ 5 wood last friday at a local course and liked it alot. But was unable to demo the Adams since they did not carry it.  DSG's and Edwin Watts have the Adams on sale for $99 as compared to the RBZ for $229. Just wanting some opinions from anyone on how you like them. Easy to hit of the deck or tee? Other fairway recommendations?

I have the Adams F11 Ti fairway wood. Did not compare it to any other fairway wood before buying so I cannot help with the comparison you are looking for, I previously owned an adams F10 and loved it off the tee and off the deck but wanted more distance so I went for the adams and the price was $99 so it was a win win for me IMHO. It takes a little getting used to hitting the larger head off the deck but I am pleased with its performance.

Recently switched from a Nike Sumo fairway wood, to the Adams F11 Ti (3W).  At least for me, WOW.  The reviews of the thing having a hot face are not exaggerated.  Stock Aldila shaft is just fine for me.  Great off the tee (i hit it almost as long as my driver if the fairway isn't wet), and I have no problems hitting it from the fairway either.

Based on the deals, i also picked up an Adams 5W, although I went with the Speedline LP instead of another F11, as i'm a low-ball hitter; i found the LP definitely launches higher than prior 5W's with the same loft i've had, and the face is still quite hot.  Thinking of moving to an LP 3W also...

So my two cents would not to be to waste your money on an RBZ, when you could get two Adams instead for the same price!

I've hit the F11 Ti and own 2 F11 steel Fairway woods. The Ti model is a great head, very long club...it just didn't fit my gaps (too long). So I opted for the steel head and it fits perfectly for me. Great feeling club, easy off the tee and turf, and pretty forgiving. Only downside for me was the stock VooDoo shaft. While it felt good, it launched too high and with too much spin for me. I put a Harrison Saga in my 3 wood and love the club, working on finding a new shaft for my 5 wood at the moment. Plus, they can both be found new for under $100 which is a steal for such a great club.

    • Hit my tee shot just into the penalty area and barely found it. Swung hard just in case I hit it. It was slightly downhill with a heavy tailwind. I don't actually hit my 9i 170 yards.
    • Right. The difference between being 120 out and 70 out for me (this is the important part) is negligible and not worth putting other risks into play off the tee.   Ok the argument against driver is that my shot cone is comically large. It puts every possible outcome into play. You can't see the green from the tee so there's a good chance I'd have to wait for it to clear which would slow down play. That's the third tee right in the middle of the firing range there. I really don't want to wait just to hit a terrible shot and I especially don't want to injure somebody. Yea I have no problem playing out of the rough short of the bunker if I'm just going to lay up short of the bunker, but I absolutely need to avoid flaring it right into the penalty area if I'm going to be laying up in the first place. As a general strategy I understand where you're coming from. But since we're specifically talking about me (this is a shot I'm going to have to hit on Saturday), I think the cost is fairly marginal. I hit the ball 8' closer on average from 50-100 than I do from 100-150 from the fairway and rough and the green success % difference is 4%. Bunker might as well be a penalty drop. Based on the data,  Here's my SG:A data compared to a 10: I honestly don't know how to use SG for decision making. That's why I was mostly looking at proximity to hole and green success rate for comparison. I mostly use SG as a way to track my progress. All good. Like I said, I appreciate the discussion. It makes me think. If I didn't want to see alternative/opposing viewpoints to my own I just wouldn't post anything. You should post it! In your own swing thread, of course. It's been a fun exercise.
    • Played my first 2024 round at Pierce Lake. Boomed my first drive down #10 fairway, then slowly slipped into mediocrity. 83 (69.6/131). The high point was going 2 of 4 on sand saves. My sand game is pretty marginal but today I must have discovered the secret for a couple hours.
    • day 34. Technique practice. Became too quick and outcome oriented. need to slow down and work on technique again.
