Mixing iron shafts

I am considering using S300 shafts for my 3 to 6 iron and x100 shafts for the 7 to PW. Anyone else have different iron shaft combinations?

I have Pro Force V2 shaft's on most of my Iron's and Aldila NV on my 6 Iron,  Gap wedge & my 2, 3 & 4 Hybrids. Both of them I like..

Very similar to a flighted set, IMO. Especially with the same weights in both flexes, though I'd imagine it might be a bit of a sharp transition from the 6 to the 7. You can consider soft or hard stepping, like using x100s in the whole set but SS the longer irons, loft tweaks, and the s400 model as possible alternatives. Seems like the s and x flexes might be a big difference but it might not be an issue.

I don't think it's realistic to get the exact matching feel in the entire set due to length differences and how you swing each club; if you feel you go after certain clubs you know better than us which ones. I would prefer the option of being able to hit a hard shot with any club over having to club up and swing easy, so I endeavor to get shafts in everything that I can't easily turn to rubber. Others might say they don't need to hit a hard 9 iron that badly, and prefer something softer for extra spin or ease of use on partial shots.

Personally I like a non flighted set and the same model in as much of my set as possible because I don't have trajectory issues in the long irons; I have trajectory issues across the entire set. At least with the longer irons I don't need to worry about helping the ball up.

I read where the 7-PW swing is considerably faster and if the shaft is not stiff enough you will get the ballooning flight. I used the S300 in a 7 iron on the trackman was getting 96 mph swing speed and 168 yards with reasonable trajectory, I am not sure how much difference in the AWT shafts I have in my irons. The S300 and the X100 have the same weight 130 grams. This is my easy most comfortable swing. It is effortless. I want to try either the SG300s and x100s together in a old set of Hogan apexes and if I like them put them in the I10's I have.

A clubsmith I know would always softstep the long irons of sets he made. Softstepping puts a shaft tipped for the next longer club into a clubhead, and then butt trims it to length. So, you would put a shaft tipped for 2iron into a 3iron, making the shaft about a third a flex less stiff, and trim it to 3i length.

      Typically less than 50. I find this can be affected by the "CART" signs on a given course. I don't like taking my rangefinder out of the cart and carrying it around to the green. I am very fearful I will leave it somewhere.

      First ever holed out greenside bunker shot! It's crazy it took this long to finally get one during a round, but the cold streak is officially over. Hole 6 on the Palmer Course at PGAN. I hit my driver like 225 into a really stiff wind, then worm burned a hybrid into the bunker. I was about I dunno, 40-45 feet away. Birdie! Let's go! The red Xs the approximate location of each shot.  Really fun!!
