Realize that a topic like this has one major pitfall. Manufactures submit a club for testing and then change the head and fit it to the pros. So the clubs in their bags may not be anything you can buy and essentially a club with their name on it for advertising.

not really true.  the pros have to play clubs that have been submitted.  and with the amount of cameras out there, why are there no pics of mysteriously branded clubs out there?

I had a conversation with a local golf pro who has worked tournaments and been around some of the PGA pros. The gist of it was companies submit clubs for testing get them okayed then change the head for the pro. There was some talk about putting an end to this but the manufacturers are where the money is in golf, so nothing is done about it. That's politics.
