Taylormade Burners, Burner 2.0's or Burner Plus irons?

Hello everyone. This is my first post to the site so please bare with me. So I'm looking at purchasing some new irons and I've narrowed the selection down to the Taylor made Burner line. I've hit the 2009 burner 1.0 and they felt fantastic. Long, straight and lots of elevation. But I've also heard that the other Burner irons are also very good. I haven't hit them but I'm interested. I just want an iron that can give me consistent shots cause I'm playing some old crappy Wilson blades right now that are not the easiest to hit. Money is not really an issue but if there are only slight differences between the three, I would rather take the cheapest. Thanks for any responses!

What's stopping you from looking at the RBZ line of clubs? The RBZ irons are red-hot and I prefer the shape of the driver head on the RBZ to the Burner. All personal preference, of course but you could probably get a good price on some RBZ irons.

I had the 09 burners and really liked them.  I don't know what the difference is with the 2.0's but the plus have a big offset that may or may not fit your eye.

You can get the 09 burners for $225 or so on ebay.  If you interested in a used set, PM me.

You've probably already made the purchase, but I just bought a set of Burner Plus irons a month or so ago.  I hit the 2.0's and was not a fan.  The Burner Plus have larger heads and in my opinion are much easier to hit.  Perhaps a more skilled player would see the value in the 2.0 line, but for my money, Burner Plus is as good as it gets.  They've added yardage to each of my iron shots, which was consistent with all the reviews I read.  Best of luck mate.

      I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.

      Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
