Maltby forged TE irons
TheSandTrap.com Top Picks
Titleist have some compact irons, I don't know side by side but I find the toplines to be pretty thin and the cavity isn't visible on any of them. There's very little offset, which I like, and good turf interaction.
They are pretty forgiving on thin hits, very accurate and feel great on pure hits. I really like the traditional lofts and even bent the PW to 48, and I can hit the 3 iron very nicely.
I highly recommend them if you're looking for a good component head. I got KBS C tapers in mine and had them assembled for 80$ an iron, but the shaft and grip I picked would cost upwards of $1,000 from Mizuno or Titleist. They really work nicely for me and I have no desire to change irons. I like the way the company sets up so you can have any specs and components you want, it really saves money over custom ordering from other companies if you know what you want.
