Hybrid to fill gap

I'm currently looking for a club to fill the gab between my 3 wood (245 club) and 4 iron (215 club). Usually I would go into the shop and hit a bunch of different degree hybrids to see which fills the gap best, but being a lefty it is difficult to test out all the different options. My 4 iron is 22* and my 3 wood is set at 16*. Would a 19* hybrid probably be the best choice as a happy medium? I'm thinking it would be I'd just like some input on how a 19* hybrid compares to a 19* 5 wood distance wise. Thanks

Im a lefty and I chucked the 5w out of the bag years ago. I carry the same 4-GW set up of irons in the bag (Adams 1208 steel uniflex). I use a 19 degree Wilson pro staff multi metal hybrid to fill the gap. Its pure smoke off the tee or carpet. I also carry a 22 degree deep red hybrid #4 due to the fact that it carries a little further than my 4 iron. Check out 2nd swing on ebay they have a pretty good variety for lefties. In fact nobody was paying attention and I snagged a sweet dunlop 3wood for 2 bucks last week.a1_smile.gif

Thanks for the response, I'll check it out. Is the hybrid about as long as the 5 wood was?

Longer with more control.
