Club turning in my hands on course today

Ok that's what I was thinking. I've been sort of aiming for the toe of my clubs bc I keeps my swing on plane. I will try to stop doing that and see if this issue goes away. I've been working on getting my weight and hands forward and fear the shank.

Other possible causes would be -

If your glove is worn out, then grip pressures can vary.

Or, worn grips change grip pressures.

Usually on hard pan the club will bounce and toe shots will catch even less of a ball.

Or any "half cord" grips.

Other thoughts on hard pan shots - use one more club than usual and a 3/4 swing with the ball placement slightly back than normal.

A smooth controlled swing oftentimes will result in better percentages of play with many difficult conditions.

I had a strong grip and the club turned in my hands. Mostly it happened when I hit toe shots.

I do believe an extreme outside to in swing path creates such an extreme angle to hit the ball the direction in which that contact is pointing is towards the toe and will cause the club to turn more than someone with a more neutral swing path.

I would also clean your grips. If they still slip, then I would replace your grips. I recommend PURE grips.

Besides that, then hit the ball more solidly. A solid struck ball doesn't turn the clubface nearly as much as a poorly struck ball.

My swing path is more in to out. But it is definitely a toe strike and I think it turns bc it is hard pan and I am still hitting "ground then ball" slightly behind the ball, it's just that softer grass I can take a big divot. I think you are right that I am still too fat on most shots. I still do not get backspin on greens. Very frustrating.
