A few years ago, I found a past time that I enjoy more than golf(never really thought I would) and that was racing. Since then I've raced everything from Vette's, Vipers, Open-Wheel Formula Fords, and Karting. Does anybody else here do, or even watch racing?

I go to stockcar racing pretty regularly. It is just like you NASCAR except not nearly so fancy.

I like to race people around the golf course, but I don't think that's the topic here...

I have a vette that runs the 1/4 mile in 11.5 seconds @ 119 mph, with a 1.79 sec. short time.

As for watching...anything with an engine! NASCAR and NHRA mostly though.

Woah, that vette sounds sick. What kind is it? Z06?

Back to the topic, I watch rally, motorcycle racing (ama mostly), F1, and anything similar on the speed channel.

Not a Z06. Just a 1995 coupe with some extras.

Hahah awesome. If I wasn't so upside down on my current loan, I'd be in a C6 right now. :p

C6's are awesome! I'm hoping to get to run against one this upcoming season. Car's asleep for the winter right now.

Yeah, I had a chance to test drive one. I was so tempted to sign, but it would have been very stupid to do so. I guess I'll just have to wait. :-p

The good thing about living in cali is that I can drive any kind of car pretty much all season since there isn't snow where I live.

Personally, I used to have a little Acura Integra that I raced out and used to drag. Also used to race people on my 40 minute one-way commute to work every day. Now I've got a little BMW that I'm in the process of restoring and upgrading suspension, brakes, etc... We've got some nice windy rounds around socal that I can run it on.

As far as watching, I think I started an F1 thread here a while back. Can't wait for the season to start back up. Was actually thinking of going to the Monte Carlo GP this year, but, it's still a tad too pricey for me. I'm excited to see what the BMW-Sauber team looks like. And of course my man Juan Pablo!

WRC Rally is pretty exciting to watch too. Don't really have a team I follow, but maybe this year I'll grow some roots.

I'm totally lost to NASCAR and that IRL mumbojumbo.

I like watching Top Gear or 5th gear when I have the chance. They review nice cars and the commentary is great.

    • Day 430 - 2025-12-04 Slow motion backswings (with chippy shots) with AlmostGolf balls.
    • Day 24 (4 Dec 25) - Spent about an hour working with the new 55° wedge in the backyard.  Kept all shots to under 20yds.  Big focus - not decelerating thru downswing and keeping speed up with abbreviated backswing.  Nothing like hitting a low flighted chip with plenty of check spin and then purpose to float a pitch of similar distance.
    • Day 114 12-4 Put some work in on backswing, moving the hips correctly, then feeling over to lead side. Didn't hit any balls was just focused on keeping flowy and moving better. I'll probably do another session tonight and add in some foam balls.
    • Didn't say anything about your understanding in my post.  Well, if you are not insisting on alignment with logic of the WHS, then no.  Try me/us. What do you want from us then?? You are not making sense. You come here and post in an open forum, question a system that is constructed with logic, without using any of your own and then give us a small window of your personal experience to support your narrative which at first sight does not makes sense.  I mean, if you are a point of swearing then I would suggest you cut your losses and humor a more gullible audience elsewhere. Good heavens.
