Can’t see a reason to change.  They have TT Dynamic Gold XP shafts in R flex.  They have a forged face for feel.  The DG XP shafts were a Taylormade only shaft back when I was fitted for them.  Anyone else still playing them.  If not, what did you change to?

Those are awesome irons.  Are they the last ones they made with the red writing on the cavities and the speed slot on the bottom?  I had a spit set of those in 4-7 and then the MC in 8-PW.  I wish the whole set was CB, probably would have kept them!

I understand why you have stayed with your clubs.  I have a set of TaylorMade RAC OS irons.  I have had them over 10 years.  They are probably around 15 years old considering I bought them from a friend.  Don't change your clubs unless you really see better distance and dispersion patterns

What's in the bag

  • Taylor Made r5 dual Draw 9.5* (stiff)
  • Cobra Baffler 4H (stiff)
  • Taylor Made RAC OS 6-9,P,S (regular)
  • Golden Bear LD5.0 60* (regular)
  • Aidia Z-009 Putter
  • Inesis Tour 900 golf ball

I bought them used last year. They are great. Much better than the cheap old nike clubs I had before.

They are a bit on the heavy side though.

What shafts are in yours?  The DG XP feels light compared to DG.

    • Day 2 (20 Jan 26) - Similar work as yesterday - started with lead hand solo drills with the 50°, followed by series of pitches and chips utilizing full setup.
    • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I do lift weights but I’m also adding yoga or Pilates for mobility and flexibility to my routine.
    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
