I just recently turned 40 and decided playing golf would be a good sport and activity to partake in. I played some in high school and in college recreationally but never hardcore. I came across a complete set of Tour Edge golf clubs (driver included) for a good price. I know enough about golf to know they aren't Callaways, but are they considered decent enough to not get snickered at playing at my local public courses? Thank you guys and gals for the input.

Never played them but I have heard good things about Tour Edge clubs. I wouldn't worry about what others think, hell I play Cleveland HB Launchers which are all based on a hybrid design, nothing said about them.

Welcome to TST. You picked a good site for golf info.

I play Tour Edge products. They can consistly out play any other brand on the market, when in the right golfer's hands.

I think some pga players use Tour Edge products.

I have golf  friends with Callaways, Taylor Made, and Pings. My TE's show them the quicker way to the pin consistently.

Quality is as good as anything else out there. Also, should you decide to up grade to newer clubs, you will find Tour Edge products will save you money compared to other brand.

I have also had a couple chances to use their customer service after the sale. Both times were 100%  top knotch, satifactory for my needs.

What model clubs did you find to use?

Haven't played TE. But, have really enjoyed the Cleveland HB3's. The new version is the Launcher HB hybrid irons. TE has HL4 iron-woods. I think they are both a great way to start out as it is very forgiving. You might actually keep them for a long time! Clevalands are 500 on Amazon, the HB3's are about half that on ebay. TE's are cheaper as well. Some of the new Callaway iron sets are 1,000-1,500 - ouch!
