So after years and years of people telling me to get fitted, I’ve decided to do it. I’ve seem some videos on it, wow I’m impressed with the technology! I had no idea a shaft mattered so much from the driver to wedges. So I’ve decided to go to Miles of Golf in Ypsilanti Michigan. I live closer to Carl’s Golf-land in Bloomfield Michigan, but I’ve heard better reviews at Miles.

So I've always wondered if Im using the right length and correct shaft for my irons. So basically I’m just looking to tweak my current irons and wedges, make sure everything is good. Never been to a fitting, I don’t know what to expect. I booked an appointment for tomorrow. Half hour session. Any tips of helpful advice would be appreciated. Should I get my wedge shafts checked out? I don’t hit driver. I have a driving iron. I like my set up, but with all these different factors now I’m just gonna make sure I have correct length and right shaft. Wish me luck!

The team at Miles is great.

Go in with an open mind and let them show you the data. I got new irons, fit to the same wedges, got a new driver but kept my fairway wood. The putter recommendation was to keep the same putter.

I've worked with Kenny, Nate and Dominic and they are great.

Sounds like I picked the right place! I’m excited to know I’m in good hands. Thanks for the response !

Absolutely

I went in expecting Taylormade driver and woods, Not sure of the hybrid, Mizuno Irons (Player distance, MP or JPX) and Vokey Wedges all Stiff or Tour Stiff. I have a Titleist Driver (Stiff 6.0), Callaway 3 wood (Stiff; the cheap one I got out of the used club bin), Ping Hybrid (Extra Stiff), Srixon (Game Improvement) Irons 5.5 Hard stepped and Vokey Wedges. SO I was right on the Putter and Wedges. Everything else was WAY off.

Numbers don't lie and the pros know their stuff.

I live a good 1 1/2 away. And the snow wasn’t cleared at that time. Didn’t wanna truck that whole way in bag road conditions.

Understandable. I hope you enjoy the fitting soon. And this week is demo weekend 1

    • Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.
