I was wondering if having more expencive clubs in your bag meens a better score? And you guys must be rich cause like my golf bag club set cost like 100 dollars or less.

There are two extremes on this.

Some players are very good and spend a great deal of money on equipment. These guys have fresh wedges every few months because they wear out the grooves. They don't worry about spending money on a box of balls before a round and don't care if a ball only lasts them three holes. Other players aren't very good and spend a great deal of money on equipment, thinking they can buy a game. They have the latest driver and irons every six months. They've gone to Butch Harmon's golf school. They take out a new ball every hole because it has to be perfect. And somehow, their game is off and they shoot what you shoot (whatever that is). These are the guys that believe that each new driver will give them ten more yards, if only they could swing it right. $400 every six months for a driver? No problem. A lesson? No way, that's too expensive. The fact of the matter is that the amount you spend on your clubs doesn't determine how good a player you are. My bag must look expensive, but all the name-brand clubs I own I bought used at Roger Dunn tent sales. The bag is a hand-me-down from a friend. And I buy golf balls on eBay. I've used some DT So/Los for 36 holes. The most expensive golf equipment won't make you a good player. And Tiger could still beat us with the clubs I might buy for my niece at discount stores.
