Well apparently the OP left the building.  I didn’t want to call him out on it right away.  I knew once he got outside he’d see nothing was adding up.

I also found that these jacked lofts were much more inconsistent on distance.

Can you explain how the "jacked up lofts" alone is the direct cause of inconsistent distance?

Based on my understanding, it's not the "jacked up lofts" aspect of the iron that is causing the inconsistent distance but rather a combination of things including different CoG, clubface depth/material, etc.

If your logic was accurate in that the "jacked up lofts" was what contributed to the inconsistent distance, your 5 iron at 26 degrees of loft should have just as inconsistent distances as the 26 degree 7 iron right?

I never said it was the only reason. The main reason for inconsistencies is your ability to swing a golf club and consistant ball striking. And if your intention on this site is to just contradict what everyone says or thinks, then please ignore my posts. Im not intetested.

None of that has to do with the jacked up lofts though like you originally claimed... If you put one of those clubs with the jacked up lofts in the hands of a PGA tour pro they are probably going to get pretty consistent distances regardless of how jacked up the lofts are. Will they get those occasional ones that jump and go 10 yards further? Probably, but like I said previously, I think that has more to do with the design/construction of the club, not the jacked up lofts.

This isn't a perfect article/study and there are some unknowns like the handicaps of the golfers who participated, and 7 golfers is a small sample size, but in this article linked below, 3 out of the 7 golfers had their tightest distance dispersion for carry yardage using the Super Game Improvement irons, and the article also stated:

The distance data is sufficiently clouded by poor ball striking that we cannot rate this as confirmed, but we do think it’s plausible that game improvement irons produce more consistent distance than blades.

We've all been told that great big game improvement irons are easier to hit, but is it true? We did the research to bring you the answers.

So asking in a slightly different way, @James146, what data do you have to support your claim that the irons with jacked up lofts are "much more inconsistent on their distances" ?

You made a statement, I asked you to explain it and I gave my opinion on the topic. That's how forums work. Not everyone is going to agree with you, and on this forum specifically, claims that are made without supporting evidence will often be challenged and the person who made the claim will be asked to provide facts that support the claims.

Lol! Classic. ‘ I want to believe something and don’t want to get all bombarded with logic and reasoning.’

Yeah bye bro. You’re obviously not interested in anything but what you have to say. Go practice your putting since it’s the most important aspect to low scores. Oh...and don’t forget to plumb-bob.🙋‍♂️
