I guess next year it'll be known as the Bridgestone Invitational. Will it still be played at Firestone? Are Bridgestone and Firestone the same company somehow? I dunno. Anyway...

Tiger is on fire in round three! Par birdie birdie birdie! Awesome start. Driving it long, putting it in the right place on the greens.

Just one question, though: why in the hell is he on the fifth hole at 10:15 am?? How are they going to have TV coverage at 2pm? Tiger - and all the rest of the leaders - will be done by then?? Did they move the tournament up due to weather concerns or something?

Ah:

Well, today, the PGA has not only moved tee times up to 7:20 a.m. at the NEC, it also will be using the back nine, threesomes instead of twosomes, and split tee times. All groups should be finished by 2 p.m. Wow. Not sure if this isn't a bit drastic. And it surely won't help the attendance (see yesterday's post). If you're planning on going today, you better get there early or it will be over before you start.

That is a very respectable leaderboard for sure. I just hope they get the final round in, and we get to see some good action on TV.....LIVE that is..

I would like to see Sergio make a little move to contend with Perry and Tiger. Also, DiMarco has just stayed at -3 since opening with a 67. I expected him to move up a little...

Also, what the hell happened to Retief? He is WAY down the list..
