After seeing Appleby's caddy pick up that moving ball on Sunday last I thought this would be a good top 5 - that penalty was expensive, and knocked the stuffing out of Appleby's run.

There was also Woosnam's caddie and the extra driver in the bag at the British Open in 2001, another 2 stroke penalty which eliminated the player from the running.

Anybody got any others?

Fluff getting too big for his britches with Tiger.

Steve Williams convincing Tiger to hit driver on the short par 4 (13th?) at Augusta and go for the green in one in 2003 (?). Instead Tiger blocked it right and ended up inside the bushes where he had to play his next shot left handed and made bogey 9or even double).

Many, many years ago, I remember watching Arnold Palmer's caddie "loosen" and attend the flagstick on an incredibly long uphill putt (held it backward in the cup).

Brain fart time. The caddie watched the ball reach the hole but never pulled the flag from the cup. Struck the flagstick for a two-stroke penalty.

    • Day 22 (12 Feb 25) - Short session with 7i into the net in the backyard.  Was not the best session - struggled in getting the face squared up.  Took a few steps back and did a reset.  Better contact second time around.
    • Nope, and a bit too expensive for what I usually spend on clothing. Not sure if these pants are the kind where they are like business casual but also can be worn while doing athletic stuff (like working out).  I do own a pair of pants from VRST, and like them a lot. They got a business casual look, but very stretchy. I forgot my gym shorts to volleyball on Monday. I had these pants on and had no issues. You can literally go from work to the gym. .
    • 100%.  Currently, it takes me several shots of various progressions to make my brain even trust that it will work.  It is so opposite from the feelings I have had for years.  And forget about adding any speed at the moment. That is just a recipe to fall back on the old habit
    • I haven't either. But there doesn't seem to be any reason why at least the pants would create any issues.
