I remember reading an article (possibly in the 90’s) about a very very talented golfer that could basically make the ball do anything he wanted. It seems he never really made it because he had WAY TOO MANY thoughts in his head before each swing to achieve his perfect swing. Does anyone know the guy’s name?

You might be thinking of Mac O'Grady, but the truth is… he wasn't nearly as talent as you said, or else he would've won a bunch on the PGA Tour.

The average PGA Tour player has 2-4 swing thoughts any given week when they're playing. I think the average in a recent Golf Digest or Golf Magazine poll was like 3.2 or something.

so are you saying the 7/4/7 CPG is teaching me is not good? I feel like it will really help me*

 

 

 

 

 

*develop a Charles Barkley swing...CPG makes me laugh every time and I kinda want to play a round at Three Jack National when it opens
