Does anyone have a picture release date or stats on the new 905T?
I used to play the 983K and switched to a BB 454. But I'd like to get back to Titleist.

The 905T has been out for several months. Lots of people use it... and it's been on Titleist.com since March.

It's unlikely the 905R will ever be released. The S and the T are the retail models. Any revisions are likely not to be named the 905.

There was a 983K and E at retail, but several other "letter" versions were available to Tour pros. The 905R or Z or whatever people might find are likely no different. Edit: D'oh.

GolfWorld had a bit about it and some of the pros that have been using it, like DLIII. 455 cc or so, with the face depth of the S and the length of the T, both front-to-back and heel-to-toe. All titanium, still the aluminum hosel, etc.

Thanks!
Wow another Titleist nut. I played 962's until going to 690.CB
I hate to use the "C" word but I'm giving a go to the BB 454. That is why I'm was so interested in the 905R. "C" does a decent job however we know that Titleist would blow it away.

You know, James, we do have a regular site with lots of

reviews , like the 454 and the FT-3 .

Personally, I think it would be stupid for Titleist not to release the 905R. The trend or popular things today with drivers is as big as possible. Obvisiously, the biggest possible is 460cc and the 905 is like 450cc or 455cc. A lot of people like Titleist drivers but people are still looking for a forgiving, big head driver from Titleist. If they release it, sales will shoot up.

Driver: Cleveland Launcher Comp 9.5 stiff
Fairway Wood: 2006 Cleveland Launcher Steel FW 15 Stiff
Hybrid: Cleveland Halo graphite stiff
Irons: Titleist 704.CB 3-PW Stiff
Wedges: Titleist Vokey 52, 56, 60Putters: Scotty Cameron Newport 2, Ping G5i Craz-EBall: Titleist Pro V1

I'll buy one...without even hitting it.

Now I wouldn't go that far, but lets say, I'd give it a swing or two.

Especially if my boy DL III likes it.

Fairways and Greens.

James that may be a little crazy. I agree with the big head. If Titleist does come out with a big head driver then sales a really going to shoot up. They are going to need something to rival the Cleveland HiBore that is coming out. I applaud Taylor Made for getting the new R7 out before the new Cleveland.

I got a crack at a 905R also, and must say that it didn't impress me. I've been looking to replace a 983K for a while now, and finally went with Nike's knew Sasquatch Tour after hitting it, just about everything else on the market, and something yet to hit the market (905R). I'd recommend giving Nike's driver a shot - you just might be surprised.

The new Nike driver is one of the uglyest clubs ive ever seen! It is just not my cup of tea!

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. The regular Sasquatch is a beast and somewhat difficult to look at when standing over the ball. I still say you would do well to give the more traditional Tour a look. I was blown away at the quality of the club, having been die-hard Titleist for the last 12 years. In the end, you have to play what looks good and feels right for you!

I'd say probably pretty close to what you can get now with the other 905's.

From what I've seen that's correct. In addition they also offering the UST V2 as a stock shaft. DLIII now has these in both his driver and 3 wood.

    • Just curious about people's thoughts on approach shots.  Now, I'm talking about a clear view of the green, not behind a bunker or other obstruction where you have to get the ball really high, and drop like a cat. When out 125,100, 75, 50 yards and less, do you prefer: using a single club like 9i or PW, and feeling the distance to get on the green in your swing using different clubs (9i, PW, GW, etc.) with the same swing part of me thinks that if I can get really comfortable with my favorite club, I can adapt my swing to get it on the green from those distances, especially a light pitch with a 9i from 50 yards, as opposed of hitting a really good full swing with a SW.
    • I've had fun every time I've gotten together with any of the SandTrap folks, I'm definitely interested in doing it again if its within reasonable driving distance.
    • I listened to Dr. Norton's interview/podcast last year on IIRC, Huberman. Worth listening and yes, demonizing HFCS or sugars in general as independent agents of obesity is at best misinformed. But from a dependent risk perspective the easiest thing for me to remember as a good reason to control sugar intake is that those who tend to have high sugar intake also tend to have high caloric intake.  Outside of genetic factors and type of calories to an extent, in general, caloric surplus continues to be a singularly consistent factor in determining how overweight you are going to. I don't care if you fast for 16-18 hours. or any other time-managed eating. You can only eat so much before you start storing more than you will ever use.
