I was exited for my first round of golf today. i was watching sportcenter at 8:15 while chipping balls into the sofa with my new wedge. being the idiot that i am, i hit my parents lamp. it broke.


the whole shade shattered, and i am willing to pay for it(obviously)

then i find out that if we can't just get a new shade, the whole new lamp is $700.

lol, I was swinging a golf club in my living room once, and broke the leg of a table clean off. My advice is to man up and pay for it, and then learn from this.... and become a better chipper, Joking lol, its just bad luck mate, it happens.

ive taken out the back window of my house adjoing the back garden with a 4 iron and a pro v1- was only meant to be chpping it ..lol!

also, when the Masters was on tv one year i was swinging a lob wedge around in my front room( lounge) and completely took out one of the ceiling lamp shades......

Funny you bring this up. I have to pony up a grand to fix the side of my house. practicing in the backyard is fun, untill you skull a flop shot into the vinyl siding....

also, only the shade needs to be replaced so i only have to pay $231

I was doing something dumb also, I was in the basement, and i Stacked Couch Cushions against a wall and took full swings with a golf ball and my 5 iron. It was actually really fun And I didnt even break anything.

That's where the mental focus comes into play. Gotta just put that last bad shot out of your mind, and focus on the shot at hand.

What's the time allowed for your next shot after you've killed someone? I can't find it in the rulebook...

I think it's just a 2 shot penalty, and then the standard rules about slow play still apply.

Go buy a Chinese lamp at Wally Mart and set it proudly on the table ($12). Then tell them that you probably could have got fitted for a set of Pings for what they paid for the stupid $700 lamp. Good luck on your game, don't let silly stuff like breaking an overpriced illumination device get you in a panic.
