Hi Everyone,

A couple of months back we had a nice ball test by Golf Magazine.

I was wondering if anyone had experiances where your results were completely different to what they reported. Many people say that one should not think too long and hard about the figures they report unless you swing the exact same way as the machine and I was wondering if this was true.

2ndly, can someone pls post the 105 ss distance for the e5+, nxt tour, gamer, tp burner and hot bite? I'm in Australia and I can't get a copy of the magazine and I am considering experimenting with the above balls.

thanks in advance,

Oh ok that's fine,

All things considered...they are all decent in length. Around the greens they differ greatly, that's what I got from it.

90mph, 137mph ball speed, 13.75 launch, 2900rpm Longest....Nike PD Soft 259.9 (pro-v 249.0) Shortest....Nike One Platinum 239.0 Most balls were in the 249-257 range....so difference is slight

    • Yep. It’s easy to get distracted during the day and hardly drink any water. Our bodies do not have a good systems to warn us early enough. Some tips I like. Drink 16+ ounces of water when you wake up. The body can lose 1-2 lbs of water weight overnight. You are already in the red. If you know you are going to work out, or even walking 9 holes of golf. Drink water before hand and during the exertion. I was curious once, I did a 40 ish minute workout and I lost about 5 lbs of water weight. That is 80 ounces of water I need to replenish. Now I try to drink 24-36 ounces beforehand.  Aim for half an ounce of fluid, per pound of bodyweight, per day. Note, this is baseline not taking into account exercise or strenuous activity. Also, if you eat non processed foods, you can get a good amount through diet. If you eat processed foods, you need to drink more during the day.
    • Anyone in the group play tennis and interested in playing some tennis this weekend while we are away on recreation?  @StuM I messaged you about hotel accommodations please let me know what you can do.
    • That's kind of what I thought.  The ap maybe fine, but Shotscope is so inexpensive and works really well. I'm surprised more golfers don't use it.
    • Me too. I tend to drink no less than 64 oz in the winter time. In the summer at least twice that.  I'm prone to cramping and cramping sucks. So, I drink plenty of water. BTW - I've become increasingly prone to cramping as I've aged. Aging sucks also.    Huh?  I'd love to know where you got this information. Did you ask your dog?  I'm not sure if I like or dislike the taste of water. It's water. It's one of the things that makes life on Earth possible.
    • It doesn't, though, and cognitive decline begins pretty early when water/dehydration are concerned.
