TaylorMade FCT Wrench

Recently bought a TM Sim Max driver. Didn't come with the wrench and no way I'm trusting a knock off from Amazon. So ordered one from an established golf vendor and it arrived today. 

My question however is, should this really be used to remove the club head? Any other torque wrench I've used (from auto to guns) cautions against using it to remove fasteners. As this can throw off the calibration. 

So what say you? Am I overthinking things, or is this a valid thing to question?

You're over-thinking it. That's what they're used for. They only torque in the one direction.

All manufacturers use them. Bad for business if they did what you suggested

I get it's probably overthinking it. And I'll just put it out of my mind. Guessing the actual torque values needed aren't that precise. 

And I know it only clicks in one direction. But that's kind of irrelevant to the question. There's a difference between fastening torque and breaking torque. Along with the forces imposed on the tool/internal mechanisms. 

Just found it interesting that this is the only torque wrench I've come across that didn't caution against using it for breaking a fastener loose.
