Regina Rosas shot 94 in the 1st round of the Corona Championship being played in Morelia, Mexico today (04.10.08).

She is 28 strokes out of the lead (Lorena Ochoa & Song Hee-Kim) and 8 strokes out of next to last place (the gorgeous Anna Rawson & Jennifer Greggain).

Oh man, that's just the pits for poor Rosas.

isn't there a rule about shooting so high you can loose eligibility... didn't Wie withdraw last year to avoid this (even though she claimed wrist hurt) or does this just apply to non card holding people playing on LPGA.

Non-members. I believe the logic to be that if you're good enough to be a member, a bad day won't affect your career. However, if you're a Monday qualifier, you get the time out to work on your game before trying again.
