I watched it last night. "Cyrby" or "Kirby" whatever her name was..the one barefoot..was an absolute nightmare. I'd like to know what her index is..can't be anything lower than a 30..right?

Cirbie is pretty terrible. 5 strokes from 50 yds without getting in a trap/hazzard made me laugh.

If you told me that someone on that show got a 5 within 50 yards, I wouldn't have believed it, or yeah at least thought a hazard was involved... seeing Cirbie's swing though, ugh... I mean I was impressed with Tommy two-gloves's play overall given his abrupt and abbreviated swing (how he got 300 yd drives i will never know) so I try not to judge people by appearances but that girl... wow... apparently her reasoning was the type of grass she was hitting out of? that she was unfamiliar with it? anyone buying that?

I caught the last 30 minutes last night. I didn't get home until after 10:00 and forgot that it was on. I will try to catch the replay. I have watched since season 1, but have to admit that season 3 with the women was the one I really got into. They were so bitchy that it was funny. I started cheering for Danielle just because all the other women hated her.

This season looks like it will not be short on fireworks. I went into wanting to cheer for the heavy one because of her history. She is a recovering adict that is trying to make one last effort. That was until she opened her mouth and you realize that she is a total bitch. Kirby was horrible and deserved to be in the elimination and Kim looks solid. The redhead and the girl from Nice look like they are very good too.

Oh yeah...it helps that they are easy on the eyes.

Adrienne - kinda butchy, sounds like she'd run over her own mother to win this thing

Christina - hottest by a million miles, but a scary Type A

Cirbie - anyone who dresses like she does and stresses that she's 'authentic,' definitely isn't. She either had a swing-double on her video audition, or has nerves of cotton, 'cuz she's sucked big time in the first show

Courtney - all I remember is she has the most beautiful tatas ever when she jumped in the pool

Dana - good-looking, mature lady....until she starts speaking. She's a little goofy and didn't wow anyone with her game on the first day

Elizabeth - don't remember much about her

Kim - she looks like a player you'd construct in a video game, very sweet swing

Lori - if her name actually was "old and bitter," it wouldn't be fitting enough

Samantha - don't really remember her, either

Sophie - I think they said she was a model or something, but she must know talented photographers. Eeech.

Susan - quiet, Asian golfer. Hmmmm....I think that makes her the favorite.

Tina - so very close to being a hot, Belinda Carlisle look-alike

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

^ ..that was awesome..now I can match a name to a face. I don't think the asian player is a closer though..she was short on that 50 yd. drill. To me it says alot when you can score on the first try..that one gal on her team did it.

Elizabeth is thin and looks to be about 6' tall. She has the best swing of the group I think. Samantha has a twin sister on tour and is British.

Personally, I like Liz and Tina. I'm rooting for them. Christina is a close third in the cuteness department, but I think Liz or Tina could make the most of an opportunity.

Some of these gals have just missed out on qualifying for the LPGA Tour... and some of them (with overlap!) have failed to qualify for the Futures Tour. I'm sorry, but you've got to suck pretty bad as a female golfer not to qualify for the Futures Tour.

I'm tempted to let Cirbie off for the bad chip. We've all done it a million times.

Elizabeth - don't remember much about her

I just caught the re-run and remembered her. In her interviews, she wore juts a denim short jacket with some kind of fashion bra. HAWT! Very natural beauty.

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

Not to mention she made a 5 by sinking a 10 footer.

it wasn't just one bad chip though... I counted 3, maybe 4 bad shots altogether. Sure it could have been nerves... but she was the worst by a good margin. Since she's not facing elimination I guess we'll see how she does in the next couple shows.

It is my guilty pleasure. Is it just me or do the girls seem to get a little better looking every season?

    • Never practiced golf when I was young and the only lesson ever taken was a driver lesson. I feel like I'm improving every year. However, the numbers don't support my feeling about improving. I usually drop to 12-13 during the summer while playing the familiar courses around home and then go on golf trips in the fall to new courses and increase to end the year between 15-17. Been a similar story for a number of years now but hey, it's the best thing there is in life so not too bothered but reaching 9.9 is the objective every year. Maybe a few lessons and practice could help me achieve it since I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing, just playing and never practice.
    • I am semi-loyal. Usually buy four dozen of one ball and only play that until out and then determine whether to continue or try another one. Since starting my semi-loyal path to success, I've been playing the below, not in order: ProV1 ProV1x ProV1x left dash AVX Bridgestone BXS Srixon Z-star XV I am not sure if it has helped anything, but it gives a bit of confidence knowing that it at least is not the ball (while using the same one) that gives different results so one thing less to mind about I guess. On the level that I am, not sure whether it makes much difference but will continue since I have to play something so might as well go with the same ball for a number of rounds. Edit: favorite is probably the BXS followed by ProV1/Srixon Z-star XV. Haven't got any numbers to back it up but just by feel.
    • Will not do it by myself, going to the pro shop I usually use after Cristmas for input and actually doing the changes, if any, but wanted to get some thoughts on whether this was worthwhile out of curiosity.
    • In terms of ball striking, not really. Ball striking being how good you are at hitting the center of the clubface with the swing path you want and the loft you want to present at impact.  In terms of getting better launch conditions for the current swing you have, it is debatable.  It depends on how you swing and what your current launch conditions are at. These are fine tuning mechanisms not significant changes. They might not even be the correct fine tuning you need. I would go spend the $100 to $150 dollars in getting a club fitting over potentially wasting money on changes that ChatGPT gave you.  New grips are important. Yes, it can affect swing weight, but it is personal preference. Swing weight is just one component.  Overall weight effects the feel. The type of golf shaft effects the feel of the club in the swing. Swing weight effects the feel. You can add so much extra weight to get the swing weight correct and it will feel completely different because the total weight went up. Imagine swinging a 5lb stick versus a 15lb stick. They could be balanced the same (swing weight), but one will take substantially more effort to move.  I would almost say swing weight is an old school way of fitting clubs. Now, with launch monitors, you could just fit the golfer. You could have two golfers with the same swing speed that want completely different swing weight. It is just personal preference. You can only tell that by swinging a golf club.
    • Thanks for the comments. I fully understand that these changes won't make any big difference compared to getting a flawless swing but looking to give myself the best chance of success at where I am and hopefully lessons will improve the swing along the way. Can these changes make minor improvements to ball striking and misses then that's fine. From what I understood about changing the grips, which is to avoid them slipping in warm and humid conditions, is that it will affect the swing weight since midsize are heavier than regular and so therefore adding weight to the club head would be required to avoid a change of feel in the club compared to before?
