rudygu, I have to disagree with you on Sophie in terms of rooting for her. She gives me nothing to like with her scarves and Fidel Castro style hats. And she could pack groceries in the bags under her eyes. She seems one step above Lori in the "cat" factor too. But you are so right, she seems to be very unflappable. I have a feeling Susan is the next to go though.

Yeah, her style is a bit different, but I don't mind it so much. I think it's a bit unfair to compare her to Lori, though. Lori is a bully, who, as someone else pointed out, seems to compensate for her own insecurities by attempting to drag down those she feels threatened by (Christina). On the other hand, Sophie has no obvious insecurities and instead of flinging childish insults about to try to gain an advantage, just flat out said she wanted Christina because there was no way she could beat her twice. To me, Lori has been very petty and I'm yet to see that in Sophie.

I think Kim's putting will catch up to her before Susan goes out. I don't see the Keira Knightley resemblance either...I'll have to look for it next time I see the show.

Lori claimed that Christina stepped behind her ball and that it was only allowed on the tee. The only thing I can think of is that she stepped down on the rough right behind her ball to push it down and allow for better contact.

That makes more sense. I thought it had to do with standing on the line of your partner or something. I thought I heard "team" in there somewhere, which led me to believe that it had to do with that or something...

I think it is worth taking note of the fact that the comments we see are filmed and edited in after the competitions are over. If Spohie had taken on Christina and lost then she might not have made such a bold statement, and if she had a lot of viewers would probably be saying that she can't back up her words.

I am just guessing on that one, but if she did do it, I hope it was not in an elimination challenge. Of course, with all the editing, we don't know for sure that it was actually Christina who even did it.

Anybody else notice that the next new episode is June 17th? Are they skipping this week because of the U.S. Open? Surely they could run "Tiger's Dramatic win at Pebble Beach" one less time.

Too funny, and you are not far off; I think they are once again running "Tiger at Torrey" on Tuesday.

Here's the quotation from Lori (

http://www.thegolfchannel.com/core.a...0&select2;=9534 ): "Well, we're not on a teeing position, so you can't step on the ground behind the ball, and that's what she did." Lori slurred the word "teeing" so that it sounded like "teen" or "team." APB

Perhaps, but the fact remains that she chose to face her. I have no reason to doubt her when she says that was the reason she made the decision. Also, my quote was comparing Sophie to Lori...I think my points are still valid.

I don't know rudy, I just think of that episode with Lori and Sophie sitting in the confession room and smirking and poking fun. I think the producers want Lori to be the bad guy and Sophie is the toadie in a way. Who knows though?

Apparently they're replaying this season starting at 1pm eastern on Friday, for anyone who needs to catch up (like me).

Lori is using one of the oldest tricks in the book when you are thrown in with a bunch of strangers.

You find a common ground and use it as crutch to build a bond with that person or persons.

Christina said "choke" and most of the chicks heard it. Lori is now using that as her ONLY common denominator with the other chicks. She is going so overboard it will soon bite her in the a**. BTW, what the hell is "stinkeye"

I didn't think much of Christina after the choke comment but she has responded quite well. I put her and Susan at the top of my favorites list.

The whole show has already been recorded by the time they put episodes on TV, so it doesn't really matter...

My good gosh, Lori should be glad that I'm not going to meet her in the next two months, or I'd give serious thought to kicking her in the crotch.

Even Don Donatello was comical and not nearly as obnoxious as Lori.

I don't agree with the official's decision to cancel Christina's points. They're not playing golf, the area she was hitting from WAS kind of a teeing ground, and the order of play shouldn't determine who gets to hit from awesome lies and who has to deal with divots. Lame decision. I think Christina's shot should have counted.

Then the bullshit with Sophie "tapping" the green? So far as I know, that's not even against the Rules of Golf. She wasn't marking the line, the rules say "During the stipulated round, a player must not test the surface of any putting green by rolling a ball or roughening or scraping the surface." She wasn't doing either of those things.

**** Lori. Pure childish gamesmanship bullshit.

    • Day 6: lighter session today after a long day. Just some mirror work and slow swings to try to get my feels down.
    • @Philip Belgium,  If I haven't already, Welcome to TST.  Your injury sounds serious and I hope you fully recover.   Thanks for sharing your story.  ..... each day get 1-2% better.   (A ray of sunshine and a positive outlook)
    • Day 91 (1  Aug 25) - Pre-tournament practice round today…had some great up and downs for par saves.  Rain came in this evening so it will be a totally different playing course tomorrow.
    • Jesus, when he keeps saying scissoring moment, ugh that is a horrible sounding phrase. Just makes me cringe. It doesn't help my mind went to Mr. Garrison from South Park. 🤣 If you know you know.  I think for the most part, golf shaft companies have gotten this figured out. They ask questions like, what tempo do you swing at. The whole scissor terminology sounds like they want to stand out a bit.  Yea, golfers load the golf shaft differently, and different bend profiles can help out. I do think swing speed matters as well. You probably want a golf shaft with lower torque if you swing faster.
    • Played 9 holes, shot a 39.  Kind of got around. Everything between the trees, so in play. Short game was rusty. Got to get back on that. Greens were stupidly slow because they got a lot of rain yesterday and probably couldn't cut them down. Usually in the summer they are firm and pretty fast for how sloped they are. Got to work on face to path a bit.
