I am an extremely green golfer, been playing seriously for about a month. Have only gone to the range since starting to try and work on fundamentals as best I can.

Recently had a Speedzone Xtreme get cracked on the bottom side near the toe, which is likely a manufacturer defect, however, my hitting the ground sure did not help it last long.

To prevent this from happening again, what adjustments should I make to my swing? I also slice the ball quite often. Was a big baseball player before, which certainly contributes to swing deficiencies.

First, I recommend redoing the taping of your swing. Please check out this thread for tips!

It just makes it easier to know what to recommend when the camera angles are correct. Camera angles matter.
