How Did You Fare In 2008 Club Tournaments

In the last 2 weeks I have lowered my handicap by 2 strokes.

On Sunday 27th April I played in one of the club's major trophies - The Archer Cup. This is a two part competition, the first part is a Stableford from back tees to attempt to qualify by being in the top 16. The second part is then a matchplay straight knockout. I came second with 41points (Gross 78, par being 72). This was definitely my best round since a four year lay-off due to kidney stones. The course was saturated and rain and wind made conditions pretty difficult.

Then the following Sunday (May 5th) I played in the Monthly Medal , winning my division with a Gross 79 , Nett 69. Again the course was saturated and it rained throughout although the wind was minimal.
