Before anybody brings him up, Tigs has no shot and I'm ok with that 🙂

Nope, this is it. 😄

Scottie, Rory… Brooks, Bryson. Those are my top four picks.

That feels about right. It's going to be long.

Butch was on Claude Harmons podcast and talked about his work with Rory. Big thing was his wedge game and working on that swing. Interesting listen.

Looking forward to this one. Agree with the above picks, although I’d like to see Fleetwood pick up a W.

There's a weight off Rory's shoulders it seems so he's on my radar.

Scottie has to slow down at some point, is this his week?

Brooks is a possible.

I figure there are about 10 guys with a realistic chance of winning, and Michael Block isn't one of them. We can move on from him now.  Knowing my luck he will hang around high enough up the leader board and he can reset that 15 minute clock.

Daly? Really?

Add Blow-pig to the list. He hits a 'reliable' fade and can get hot with chips and putter.

Why is he there? I get the past champion thing and everyone loves him but he has no chance of winning.

There are players in every major (especially at The Masters) that have no real chance of winning.

I feel like having a lifetime exemption and being a fan favorite is enough reason for him to be there.

I don't think most people going through a divorce would consider it a weight off their shoulders.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

It could be. Or not.

Again, after breaking up with Caroline (not a marriage but they were engaged), he went on a pretty great run.

Bachelor for life! Why to buy the cow if you can drink the milk for free??

Rooting for Spieth as always despite him having almost none chance of winning. I have Rory.. bryson and Scotty with real chances of winning. Would like to see Rham in contention, long time without a win.

Wow, some ringing endorsements of marriage!

I can respect that. There's enough humans on the planet at the moment anyway so if some folks want to opt out then I usually make it a point to thank them.

But, I digress.

Anyway, pulling for Rory. Who here doesn't think golf owes him one right about now? Professional golf would be better if Rory/Scheff went at it trading blows for a couple of three years.

Really? Your definition of a "long time" is unusual.

I was thinking the same thing. The guy won a major 13 months ago...

And has 2 Top 10s out of his last 4 majors with one of those being a T2....

    • That is absolutely insane. I’ve never played a 6 hour round before. Once I played a round that took 3:00 for the front nine and I walked off. I was kind of salty about that at the time because the guy in the shop said if I wait 10 minutes to check in, I’d get twilight rates, but what he failed to mention were the three other groups lined up ahead of me doing the exact same thing. Totally not worth the $20 I saved. I played a course once that was kind of the opposite. Despite being built in the 90’s, the contours on the greens were ridiculous and they had to keep the greens fairly long to compensate. It was an awful experience.
    • Asked a friend of mine how his Monday round was at Trull Brook GC.  He said it was awful… took 6 hours and 45 minutes.  He said they went inside to complain afterwards and the course didn’t care.  They told him “it’s bust, nothing we can do about it.”. Can u  imagine??  It’s a short well kept 18 hole course that does shave their greens down so it’s really not fun to play there.  The greens were built back before mowers could cut them that short .He said it was $100 to play as well.
    • I knocked off 2 more holes today.  Shot 78 from blues (6670yds).  Had 4 birdies, 2 of them on holes I hadn't yet birdied this year. Now only 3 more holes to go:  The 2 lowest Hcp holes and a Par-5 (can't believe I haven't taken this one down yet).
    • This week on league I broke my driver during my tee shot.  I re-teed it and took Stroke & Distance.  My playing partners tried to tell me not to take a penalty since it "was not my fault". It totally ruined my round but I felt the S&D penalty was appropriate. Specifics: I was on the 9th tee.  I hit my driver and really thought I hit it well but the ball went only 20 yards into a waste area in front of the tee box.  So I re-teed it and said "I'm hitting 3".  On the 2nd tee shot I again felt I hit it crisp but the ball shot weakly to the left going next to the #8 green and during my follow though the shaft shattered @ 8 inches above the club head.  So I head over to my ball "Hitting 4" (I need to verbalize these penalties or I may fail to count them) and that is when they all said to not count any penalties because it was very possible the shaft was breaking on the 1st tee shot. One guy even tried to sound authoritative and said "There was no intent to play a broken club so the shot does not count".  They even tried the "Its not fair, if the club had not broke you would likely be in much better position so do not penalize myself". I did take the S&D penalty and played my 4th from where the 2nd tee shot ended up and finished with an 8 on the Par 4 and lost my match by 1 stroke.  I know it sucks, but in my mind I see no way around the S&D penalty. Comments?
    • I'd like to know the head weight on the Putter Odyssey DF 550, I was wondering to find some new putter with same or more weight on the head. Many thanks for the help!
