"Everyone seems to know what I'm doing,'' B.J. Wie said last week from his office at the University of Hawaii. "Nothing is firmed up. I have not made any decisions. We're still working on a number of things.''

Uhm, isn't it Michelle's decision? Or shouldn't it be? I wouldn't begrudge a dad the option to give advice, and he's still her legal guardian and all that jazz, but "I have not made any decisions" sounds a whole lot like his daughter is along for a ride on the BJ Machine*.

* Please, keep the wisecracks to a PG-13 level.

I hang out with a girl once, who's nickname was "BJ Machine"... good old times. You don't refer to her by any chance, do you?

As a father myself, I would have to say no, it's not her decision. A person her age doesn't have the wisdom to make a decision of that magnitude.

And her money-grubbing (seemingly) father does?

To be honest, the decisions to be made are difficult ones for anyone. I have know idea what her father's intentions are. Maybe they're good, maybe not. The fact remains that she is still in many ways a child. Being able to hit a golf ball like an adult does not make one an adult.

I know that a lot of people would not agree with me. That's OK too.

I think it's pretty stupid for golfers to turn professional before the age of 18 to be honest. She needs to play alongside the rest of the amateurs until she can legally make the decision on her own, and then she can do whatever she pleases.

I don't care how good a player is, they shouldn't be playing with the professionals until they are adults.

Hell, you can't vote until you are 18. Why should you be able to play professional golf that young?

I know she helps the game by playing in LPGA events, but I am entitled to my opinion, and I am not afraid to speak it.

As for the BJ Machine, I'm not sure how to respond to that one.

Or buy porn or cigarettes.

Despite the title of this thread?

    • First going to spain for a long weekend in March probably going to play La Quinta, Los Arqueros and Fina Cortesin, and first week in May will compete in the Crawsnest Tassie at Carnoustie golf links, that will be a full week of golf golf golf and more golf. Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.
    • Scrubs is coming back to ABC. February 25.
    • Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.
    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
