What length/kind of tee do you use?

I prefer zero friction tees on everything but par 3s.

They don't break... that's the selling point for me. I've been through two bags in more than two years... mostly from giving them out to people.

I've been using 3wood brush T's when hitting my driver, for a few years. There for awhile, my clubhead speed was way down after a car wreck (neck, shoulder injuries, whiplash, etc). THis helped me get thru the ball without any hang-ups. Now, I just feel comfortable using them.

I use regular length wooden T's with any other club I use a T with.

I will say, that the zero friction T's look like the way to go.

I just use regular wooden 2.75 inch tees. $4 for 200 of them can't be beat. I had a bag of Zero Friction's. They never broke, but they'd fly up in the air to God knows where and I eventually lost them all.

I tee the 2.75's up as high as they will go without the ball tipping over when I drive the ball.

I use standard wooden tees, and I don't know how big they are. I got the right tees once, and I just bring one with me when I need to buy tees, which is rare.

In any case, I rarely buy tees. I break maybe 1-2 per round, and I can buy a bag of 100 for $2 or so when RD has tent sales. Furthermore, a buddy of mine regularly plays courses that give out handfuls of tees each time he plays. So he makes sure he has plenty and puts the rest in a jar in his garage and, when we meet up, if I ask, he brings me a bag of several dozen tees. So I'm rarely, if ever, wanting for tees.

That having been said, Zero-Friction tees are awesome, and I have a pack, but I tend to bend mine. I have no idea why. Maybe I bought ones that are too big. I have no idea why mine end up bent. I should measure them compared to the tees I use and maybe get a pack in the right size and go back to them.

Just today bought a generic bag of white 2.75" tees for $5. I also have some of the shorter variety that I use for par 3's.

I used Zero Friction tees for most of last year. I liked them overall but found they were very hard to push into hard tee boxes and in windy Kansas the ball would blow off the tee periodically. I also found that I broke the "tines" off the tees sometimes too.

A friend suggested Epoch tees and I started using them late last summer. I like them a lot better than Zero Friction tees. The shaft is much sturdier, the top of the tee is wider and the ball sits more securely on it. They also come in a 1-1/2" "shorty" tee as well, which are great on par 3's or teeing off with hybrid or fairway woods (I buy the combo packs with both long and short tees). I think I've broken a total of one since I started using them (about 20 rounds).
