Hey all I recently won a new set of irons.

I currently play ping g30s 1 inch longer 2 degrees upright 5 to pw and then a 50 54 and 58 vokey. Top end of the bag is a g430 driver g425 5 wood and g425 7 wood

I settled on a set of ping g430s but the lofts are much stronger ger with the PW at 41 degrees. I am going to go with a 6 to pw but to fill the gap do I go with the 45 degree g430 or should I opt for a 46 degree vokey?

Well you could always start with the G430 GW and see how you like it....  plus it will be more forgiving on off hits vs the Vokey.

If you end up not liking the G430 GW, you could always get a Vokey afterwards.

It kind of depends on how you hit them and what your gaps actually end up being.  The 46° Vokey might not fill the gap the way the G430 UW does. If you’re planning on using the club mostly on full swing motion shots you might be better off with the G430.

Or you can just put your G30 PW in the bag as your GW since it’s 45° standard loft.

    • This is my take on it, as well. You don’t top the ball because you didn’t think hard enough, but screwing up the following shot because you’re angry about the last one and didn’t give it enough effort can certainly be partially attributed to lack of mental fortitude. Honestly I think most people like to say that golf is mostly mental because they want to tell themselves they’re better than they actually are.
    • Rafa Nadel swing is awful and that's coming from my swing that's not good but if he is an 0 handicap then his tennis skills grant him to hit the ball a far distance?,I dont know but I would say that's not a scratch drive distance (250 -280yds) swing, more like a beginner, I now appreciate my own swing now..lol

    • I'd take the flawless swing. (Although we could have a lively discussion over whether or not such a thing exists....)  With a really great swing you can get far more GIR's and NGIR's then without one and approach shots carry such a high separation value.  Without needing to work on my flawless swing I could devote my valuable practice time to short game.
