Picking up a few budget clubs next week as im gifting my existing 3 to my son (he has irons etc) Really looking at low budget for my first year on a course but decided to get budget new rather than second hand.

I've found Ram EZ3 and SGS both offering driver/3w/5h with graphite shafts for around £90 including shipping.

Anyone familiar with the brand and able to give any insights re difference beyond color. (left handed and uk based). Open to alternative packages if you can recommend but definitely a low budget.

You get what you pay for. I think this stands pretty well when it comes to golf clubs. With the new, something will loosen or break. With the second hand…they just won’t be shiny and new.😃

Absolutely, not expecting a world class set or anything. Its a placeholder for a year hence cheap as chips. Just curious why Rams have 2 versions that visually look identical bar color, priced similar with a different product line name.

  • iacas changed the title to RAM EZ3 V SGS

Ram golf has not been a relevant brand in the US since Tom Watson was relevant so you might not get a lot of help with the clubs you are talking about. I would suggest a quality used set of a reputable brand rather than a cheap set. You might find you play the used clubs for years. If I read your post correctly, you only have 3 clubs now? I'd buy a putter, its free to practice putting at a golf course. Anyways, check Declathon, there are a few in Scotland, they would/should have inexpensive sets.

I have a full second hand set just now, the 3 i mentioned are poor condition though hence a new cheap set to get me me throuhh to summer

My son only has irons/putter so he'll get the old ones as a gift.

Just a quick follow up to say i took onboard the advice. Ive been checking out second hand clubs instead. Ebay snipers driving me up the wall though so will see how long my patience holds out.
