Golf Courses With Artificial Turf Greens?

No doubt. I agree. 
Like most things in life there are trade offs. 

The good news is lower maintenance, no punching the greens, you can play them in the winter time, etc...

The bad news is the hole locations don't change, they are never quite the same as "real" greens. etc... 

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs. 

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

I'd play on an artificial green, but only because I take up every opportunity to play. I don't think I'd like it though. The greens are the best part of the course. I know greens are hard to maintain, but an artificial green seems like it would deteriorate and affect putting performance.

First, welcome to TST.

I’ve putted on artificial greens in stores when testing out putters and the are “OK” but I think I would also prefer real grass.

I hear what you’re saying about golf store greens but presumably it would be something of higher quality. For example, I had a Pelz artificial green installed at my last house. It was amazing.
