Hi Everyone,

My name is Matthew and I'm from England and I live near Manchester, I play casually just for fun, but only on the weekend (when the English weather lets me) with one of my mates . I've played for about three years and I seem to be at a stage where I think i'm getting better one day  but then next day it falls a part.

I do prefer my long game than the short game, but i'm gradually getting better at chipping and less roll on my chip shots.

In my bag

driver - Ben Ross Delta

3/5 wood -  Ben Ross

Irons - cobra one Size F-max

Putter - Odyssey O-Works Black #7.

looking forward to joining the community.

Thanks Matthew

    • So hit the😝 irons crooked AND play layup golf?? Hahaha.. no thanks. I would rather stay home. 😊
    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
    • Day 31: 3/10/25 Backswing drills with the ProSendr. Reinforcing iron play from yesterday.
