I've started reading Hogan's 5 Lessons and I really like it but I have a question.

For the Vardon grip that he's suggesting, do the middle finger and ring finger of your right hand rest on top of the left thumb, just touching it, or not touching the thumb at all???

I have big hands and it seems like it would be hard for me to not put them over my left thumb, but there isn't a picture in the book that shows where those two fingers are supposed to be laying.

Maybe you need thicker grips?

I read Hogan's book a few years back, a good one indeed. I believe that once your left thumb is in position on the club shaft, lay your right palm's life line up against your left thumb's upper right side. The meaty portion of the palm, below the base of your right thumb, should lay on top of your left thumb's first knuckle. This same meaty portion of your right palm should exert force down on the same first knuckle of your left thumb.

Hope this helps.
