I am going to play the Vineyards on Saturday with a friend, and he has asked if I want to walk (my usual preference) or ride. He has never played the course before either, but we both want to give it a go.

Most courses I know that permit walking are very walkable, but I know a few (at least one in Orange County) that has one or two very long green-to-next-tee distances. So, for the Very Southern California players here: if I'm comfortable walking 36 holes at a normal walkable course (L.A. City courses, for example, or Rancho San Joaquin in Irvine), will I be OK to walk 18 there?

I've played The Vineyard numerous times..but never walked it. It is rather hilly with numerous undulations and elevation changes..I wouldn't suggest it...the front is ok..but the back gets hilly.
