What is the rating/slope from the tees he played? If he made 3 more bogies on the last 4 holes (being generous to him) and ended with a 79 that's likely going to give him a net differential of at least -8 or -9 which would be somewhere in the 1:1,000-3,000 odds. I would bring up your specific instances of him increasing his score to the head pro and see what the head pro says. -

Is the $50 for a full bag fitting or for which specific clubs? A full bag fitting can last upwards of 3+ hours, I'm not sure I've ever seen a full bag fitting cost as little as $50 without a purchase. -

Gave the local golf shop a call, single lessons are $95 ea. (cheaper if bundled) Fitting is only $50 or free with purchase. I think I'll start off with a fitting which should be able to give me average distances with each club and hopefully help me understand what clubs/lengths I hit better. $50 seems like a pretty good price. -
