How long does it normally take you after getting a new putter to get used to it?

After 38 putts the last 2 rounds I'm thinking about going back to my old one.

I've played with it for 4 rounds w/38,34,38 & 38 and I was 31-33 with my old one.

That happens with everyone, The new putter can have different technology or a different method than your old one, and it takes getting used to. Maybe not as hard of a stroke, etc.

I'd say it takes about 10 rounds to get used to.

Yeah, that's a good question. Most people putt better with their new putters.

Yeah, 31-33 putts is pretty darn good. I wouldn't have touched anything new.

I'd give it at least 3 more rounds and don't focus on it so much. Try to have confidence.

I had tried this putter a few different times and really liked it, then saw it used here on tST and got what I think was a pretty good deal on it. I think a big part of it is I'm not used to the weight for lag putts.......I had my old putter for 23 years, so I guess this one will take a little getting used to.

Yeah well if it feels good then just work with it to build up confidence and you should be putting just as good if not better than with your old putter. Also, if you had your old putter for 23 years, it will take you a little while to get used to your new putter.

Drained a 30ft'er for Birdie on #1 and ended up with 29 putts all together.
