Just heard someone yell it at the open and thought of this thread.

I didn't realize how annoying that was until I was watching the Open with my wife. She said, "Those guys are really annoying. Is it always like that?" I had to shake my head. Every sport has its idiot fans. Even in this one... there are idiots everywhere.

I have made a vow that if I"m ever at a PGA event and whomever says that is within the reach of my fist, I"m going to punch him just as hard as I can.

What's with the dork and his high-pitched whistle today? Come on...

I was just about to post about "the whistle guy", he would do 5 quick whistles after every shot from the final group. I have heard this clown(or someone else) doing it at so many events, it kills me, comes through every speaker when in surround sound. Someone needs to punch "that guy".

i don't mind the whistles as much as you guys do...but when you've got your 7.2 at +80db, it KILLS YOU!

I'v heard it occasionally over the last few years at the Open, sadly.

If we hear it at the Open and the culprits are found to be visiting tourists I think a quiet word would be appropriate if however the culprits are found to be British golf fans just shoot then out of hand .
