Any take on these putters? I have a new port 2 mid slant pro platinum from around 1999 or 2000. the new ones look gorgeous!

I just decided to get one and I love it. its by far the best putter I have owned. it rolls super nice I love mine.

I am gonna get one, but am looking at the '07 models. Those in the know, is the '08 model simply better?

The new Camerons are indeed sweet - I just got mine last week. Ive been putting with the previous model (with the GSS insert), and was not "unhappy" with it. However, I started test driving the newer version, and was very impressed with it. Among the things I liked - (1) the cord grip ROCKS - it alone is almost worth changing for (I know that sounds a bit much, but it's not...); (2) the "solid" head without the insert feels somehow better to me, and (3) the interchangeable weights will allow me to (finally) build a 350gram 35" putter.

I just hit a few models. A store had some use dones, a Studio NP 1.5 for $150 in great shape, woulda snagged it but it was short. Also the 62 really impressed me.
Luckily they had the '07 and the new one. I liked them both, but in agreement with Scotty above, the new model's hit just seemed to feel better.
Is the last year's model with the insert supposed to be a softer feel, cause the 08 felt softer to me.

I have a Studio Style (gss insert), but I have putted several times at a couple of golf shops with the studio select. I personally prefer the feel of the insert, but the Select was very, very nice. I'm with ScottySnapps on the grip though - that cord grip is awesome. In fact, I'm planning to get mine re-gripped with it when I send it into the custom shop in a couple of months.

I. Want. The. Studio. Select. I'm DYING for one but not sure I can spend 300 dollars at this time - I may do it anyway. Such a nice playing putter, it performs great, looks great, it's legenday, it's used by both my guys in Tiger and Curtis (Not the Studio, buy Cameron) - I WANT that putter. I'd do trades, buy, anything - but right now it's in high demand.
