Cheap golf here in Arizona.

The cheapest golf I found near me is an exec par 60 course. 10 dollars from ten until 2 pm. Cart included. The icing on the cake is that when I am done with my round, I ask how much for another 9 holes. 9/10 they let me play another 18 for free! Cant pass that up when I got a day off.

My home course is $32 to walk 18 if you are not a member (it's sickening how cheap being a member is, compared to what you get...) I live less than one mile from my home course, BTW. It's a 3 minute drive from my front door to the pro shop.

Another local course has twlight golf after 5:30 PM for only $15. Since it is light here until 9:30 PM in summer and it's a great course it's a steal of a deal.

Yeah, I lived in Kodiak for 14 months. I know all about that.

I remember when I was in Nome, AK the sun came up around 3:30 AM and went down just after 1:30 AM. It was weird seeing the sun circle the entire sky over the horizon, then dip down underneath it for a little while, and come right back up.

Yeah that's pretty funny. I can urn off all the light in my room at like 1-1:30 and still have enough light to see everything in my room clearly.

Yup, definitely an otherworldly kind of place during the peaks of the seasons. The winters got tough, sometimes, when the sun wouldn't come up until after 10 AM and would be back down before 4 PM! Big balance there!

      Day 1 (19 Jan 26) - after a week lay-off due to travels, felt great to get in some drills in the backyard today.  Started with lead arm only short pitches focused on squared face and light divot post ball.  Haven’t done this in a while and it showed, with some skulls and slices.  Settled into easy flighted balls - wrapped up with standard two handed swings.  Good restart to the daily drills.

      That depends what you do within those two.  Are they your only options?   Check out Fit for Golf if you get a moment.  It's linked on the sidebar;  I did it for two years, stopped for a really bad reason, and I plan to get back to it soon.   Mike Carroll also has a great free podcast about a lot of topics in golf fitness.

      Day 30 - 2026-01-19 Got 10 minutes in on the mat / net working on exagerrating movements I'm working on. And grip. Also worked with my friendly AI to summarize key negative tendencies I have so that I can build a personal checklist to follow. Will do more mirror work tonight.
