Who cares if your "good" or not. Golf is a sport where you don't have to be good to love the game. Look at me for example.

Thats sorta like the line in the movie, "Tin Cup", where Kevin Costner says, "golf and sex are the only 2 things that you dont have to be good at to enjoy. ..

Why not try it. Practice, get lessons, practice. your young, your flexable, and what do you have to loose? If you go to college, you can hook up with the team, then who knows?

Better to try and fail then to ask: what if? Plus as Gilmore Happy said: "...if even if I'm last place, I win some money...".

I think it depends on how much you are willing to work at it. I REALLY want to get a golf scholarship to a D1 school. The problem? I'm 15, started last year when I was 14 and only have 3 years to get noticed. Granted I am down to a 4.8 handicap, but that is because I spend just about literally everyday at the course practicing and playing.

Here's what I play:
