I just bought a Taylor Made R7 460cc driver from a guy locally for $125. Is that a good deal?

I took it out for the first time today at the range and I must say, it's an awesome driver.

Anyway, he was also trying to sell me the Monza Corza putter also from TM. He said he'd let it go for $80. Deal or no deal?

I've read some reviews and I got a lot of mixed responses.

That's an excellent price for the 460! Nice job!

Don't know about the putter - never seen a TM putter in stores around me...or atleast, one that I wanted enough to look at the price tag. :P

Good deal if its like new. I just bought a new R7 Draw for $139 at Carl's Golfland a couple of days ago and I have to agree its a nice driver for the price.

I think the weights started with the R5 Series, Since there there has been the R7 Series (Superquad, Draw, TP, CGB Max) and The Burner Series (Tour Burner, TP etc)

Well I'm fairly certain the Burner series doesn't have the moveable weights. Oh yes i'm talking about the moveable weights btw. I thought it was the superquad, but im not 100%.

I'm almost 100% positive that my good friend has the r7 draw

(not a draw, but 425) and I know his driver has the moveable weights.

r7 draw does not have movable weights.

The r7 425, r7 460, and Super Quad can be selected for draw-biased, but the r7 draw itself does not have movable weights.

My R5 Dual didn't have movable weights. They were stuck in there in an "optimized" setup by TM.

      To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
