Well personally I prefer the classic shoe, I can still find comfortable ones but it just adds to the whole aspect of the game to me at least

Classic hands down. I hate sneaker type of shoes to begin with, the last thing I would ever do is golf in them. I don't even own but a pair I use for running. That't the ONLY time I wear them - otherwise it's strictly Doc Martins or workboots.

Classic. I want golf shoes that look like golf shoes, not golf shoes that look like they belong on a basketball court.
One of the coolest things about golf is the respect for tradition and IMO, sneaker-style golf shoes spit in the face of tradition.

I wear strictly Adidas training shoes these days, mainly due to my healing ankle and all. But, I usually wear them in summer in general. I'll break out the traditional looking shoe during winter months.

I prefer sneaker type but thats just because of my oddly shapped foot. Classic shoes just tend not to fit right.

I used to be a classic person but the addidas 360 look sweet as, and are the most comfy golf shoes i have ever owned.

I own 4 pairs of all white Ecco's, including a pair of World Class GTX's that I picked up at a local Ecco outlet for 160, and one pair of Addias 360II (Sergio Garcia versions)

I couldnt see myself wearing a sneaker style, sure they're comfortable as hell though

I just have not had the notion to try anything other than classic. I have Footjoy Dryjoys and really like them and they are really comfortable to me.

I have "sneaker" style Nikes and I like them a lot. Very comfortable.

Anything other than classic "spits in the face" of golf?? Wow. Havent heard that one before.

If classic means the saddle style golf shoes, then I'm a sneaker guy. I'm assuming my Adidas Powerbands are sneaker style, right?

      To flog this subject even further, if that's even possible, this article from Golf Monthly just appeared today in one of my news feeds. Written by a golf writer in the UK who I never heard of, he's basically saying that there should be only 3-5 rounds from the most recent 20 that should count towards the average and only competitive rounds should count. He claims the erratic scorers would have less of an advantage than they do now. He makes a lot of references to "club golfers" in the UK being the ones who are mostly dissatisfied. https://share.google/qmZZBEoJvOxHxJGil  In my experience with my league where we have golfers with indexes ranging from 5 to 40, looking at the weekly results from the past two years, I can detect no pattern that would substantiate the claim that the current system gives an unfair advantage to either erratic golfers (aren't we all?) or higher handicappers. Apparently though, at least in the UK, this seems to be "a thing."
