Do drivers loose their distance?

Just curious if anyone have noticed over a period of a few years if your driver is not perforimg like it was when it was new. I would think it would take a lot of hitting before it started breaking down. How many I have no idea. Thanks

My driver doesnt perform the way I want it to half the time...Just kidding. I think with the type of metals used today, it would be very hard.

Thanks my main reason is I really dont hit a driver that much and really was thinking about buying a good used driver.
