Cords or Ribbed

What kind of grip do you like? Cords or non?

I'm very interested in the New Decade Multicompound but i've been hearing that the cords on the upper layer fade away rather quickly.

Basically, for me it's going to be between a Tour Velvet, a red Crossline or a New Decade. I will prob. get a regular grip and do 3 or 4 wraps underneath to give it a midsize effect.

I haven't found that to be true at all. They still maintain the cord, and it can't really fade away. It's string - it doesn't vanish or "wear off" or anything.

Not sure what you mean by offering the question "cords or ribbed." A ribbed grip has a raised bump, almost always along the bottom (underside) of the grip. Also called a "reminder." You can get a rib or reminder with a corded or a non-corded grip. I've never cared for ribbed grips, but they don't bother me so much on clubs where I might not be changing the face angle very often (like the driver).

Cords will do a number to your hands but its the only thing I'll use, like Iacas they won't "wear away"
