I received in the mail two sleeves / six balls of the Callaway Tour IXs....unexpectantly. While I do have some Callaway products...I sure didn't order these balls. Maybe samples sent to customers?

Has anyone else had two sleeves sent to them also? What is the deal?

Correct....the container box housing the three sleeves is very attractive. Going to reuse that box at the office to hold office supplies.

Got mine the other day. Played an 18 hole round with one and it held up quite well.

I have the same plan with the box.

Are the samples only being shipped to Callaway owners?

Promotional thing that you probably signed up for a few months ago.

Absolutely amazing golf ball.
Very long off the tee. Insanely durable. Incredible spin off the irons.

I'll never buy a ProV as long as these balls are on the shelves.

I played my free samples for the first time last night in my league. Finished in the money for the first time this season and won a skin. It could have been mental, but I'm sure there were at least two shots that would have trundled well past the hole with my regular ball, but instead checked up and stayed near the hole. One saved par and the other got the skin. It was also noticeably straighter off the tee.

I consider $45 a lot of money for a dozen golf balls, but if I keep getting results like this, I'll have to consider it.

according to your signature you play the top flight d2 feel which is a low spinning ball. THe results that you are expreincing are not because the tour ix is a magic, ball you would experience the same results with sny tour quality 40$+ ball such as pro vs or nike ones

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
