I just watched Rick Price win the Nationwide Players Cup and he was barely holding in his tears.

9 years on the nationwide...never made it to the PGA. Finally, after winning this tournament and $180,000 at age 40, he's going to make it. 3rd on the money list...wow.

Golf is a great game in the fact that it doesn't discriminate against age. If you can play, you can play. The thing about Rick Price is i watched him for days and he kept hitting the ball into the rough, behind trees...crazy lies that he managed to get out of and win it. I am so happy for this man! Congratulations, Congratulations Rick Price!

I was crying too watching him on TV. I think it's so cool to see the guy finally win big.

Actually, it has been 19 years! Talk about perseverance. In the PGATour.com article about his win, it indicate that Rick's father tried to talk him into an early retirement a few years back. A couple of years and one $180k purse will make a believer out of anyone. I look forward to watching Rick on the Tour next year as he lives his (and my) lifelong dream.

    • Day 21 - Good session with driver and 6i. Hitting real golf balls is quite a bit different from the foam balls, still getting used to that change.
    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
    • Day 4: 3/26/25 Par4Success workout followed by putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 249: did a stack putting session and then worked on 5 foot putts for a bit.
